It was recently announced that Her Majesty’s Passport Office will now be known as His Majesty’s Passport Office (HM Passport Office). This change is being made as a result of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing.
Queen Elizabeth II, the UK’s longest-serving monarch, died at Balmoral aged 96, after reigning for 70 years.
Following her death, the government announced that all of the organizations over which she held sovereignty would now be known by their male equivalent.
This includes Her Majesty’s Passport Office, which is now His Majesty’s Passport Office.
The change will come into effect immediately, and all future passports will be issued in the name of His Majesty’s Passport Office.
We would like to take this opportunity to extend our deepest condolences to the royal family, and to all those who have been affected by this loss.
It is hard to overestimate the impact that Queen Elizabeth II has had on the UK and the world. She was an incredibly effective leader, and her long reign was marked by stability and prosperity.
She will always be remembered with gratitude and respect.
In the wake of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing, there has been a lot of discussion about her life and legacy. Here are some of the most notable things she accomplished during her time on the throne:
– She was the longest-serving monarch in British history, reigning for 70 years.
– Under her leadership, the UK saw unparalleled economic growth and stability.
– She was a powerful advocate for human rights and was instrumental in advancing women’s equality.
– She was regarded as a global icon and was widely respected and admired by people from all walks of life.
-She served in World War II (She joined the Women’s Auxiliary Territory Service (ATS), and trained for six weeks as an auto mechanic) and was the first British monarch to ever visit an active war zone.
– A Commonwealth was formed under her direction, ensuring that the UK remained a key player on the global stage.
– She was the first British Monarch to address congress.
Queen Elizabeth II was an extraordinary leader and an inspiration to us all. She will be greatly missed.
