1. My UK passport has expired. Can I still travel?

2. How long after my passport has expired can I renew it?

You can renew your UK passport up to 10 years after it has expired. If it’s been more than 10 years, the process is similar to a first-time application, and additional documentation is required.

3. Can I enter the UK with less than 6 months on my passport?

Yes, you can enter the UK as long as your passport is valid on your date of arrival and for the duration of your stay. The UK does not require six months of validity for entry; however, some airlines and other countries you travel through might have stricter rules. Always check the requirements of your airline and any transit destinations to avoid issues.

4. When should I renew my passport in the UK?

It’s generally recommended to renew your passport about 9 months before it expires. Many countries require at least 6 months of validity on your passport from your date of entry, so renewing early ensures you avoid any travel disruptions.
